چکیده

Abstract Kluyveromyces marxianus is a yeast that could be identified from kefir and can use broad range of substrates, such as glucose lactate, carbon sources. The lactate produced in culture substrate for K. . However, the complexity microbiota makes traits difficult to study. In this research, we focused on cultured with sole source. optimal growth released protein were determined under different pH conditions, LC–MS/MS-identified proteins associated tricarboxylic acid cycle, glycolysis pathway, cellular stress responses cells, indicating autolysis had occurred conditions. abundant glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase 1 (GAP1) was cocrystallized other cell-free fraction, low transcription level GAP1 gene indicated abundance conditions dependent stability. These results suggest induces , releasing peptides. findings fundamental probiotic studies future.

Characterization of Yeast Protein Enzymatic Hydrolysis and Autolysis in Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Kluyveromyces marxianus

Protein recovery under sonication treatment and autolysis, also protein hydrolysis progress during enzymatic hydrolysis (using trypsin and chymotrypsin) and autolysis (using endogenous enzymes) were investigated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Kluyveromyces marxianus. Crude protein content of dried yeast cells were 53.22% and 45.6% for S.cerevisiae and K.marxianus, respectively. After 96 hrs of...

Heterologous expression of glucose oxidase in the yeast Kluyveromyces marxianus

BACKGROUND In spite of its advantageous physiological properties for bioprocess applications, the use of the yeast Kluyveromyces marxianus as a host for heterologous protein production has been very limited, in constrast to its close relative Kluyveromyces lactis. In the present work, the model protein glucose oxidase (GOX) from Aspergillus niger was cloned into K. marxianus CBS 6556 and into K...

Genome sequence of the thermotolerant yeast Kluyveromyces marxianus var. marxianus KCTC 17555.

Kluyveromyces marxianus is a thermotolerant yeast that has been explored for potential use in biotechnological applications, such as production of biofuels, single-cell proteins, enzymes, and other heterologous proteins. Here, we present the high-quality draft of the 10.9-Mb genome of K. marxianus var. marxianus KCTC 17555 (= CBS 6556 = ATCC 26548).
